Well!

someone has VERY good taste in music..........you managed to use two of the greatest Maiden songs ever written! credit to you on all your music choices.
The art was fine - nothing mega special, but you told the story succesfully and even captured some emotion with Luigi. I thought the Mario on the side of the bus was clever. Keep up the good work, and you'll get better and better.

metallica-man-11 responds:

thanks man yer IRON MAIDEN farkn rock dont they!!! im not sure about can i play with madness being one of their best songs tho. i just put it in coz it fitted the scene well (i thought). the fallen angel is the best tho hey!!! if u watch it again look at what the microphones say at the press conference. its kinda small but thats coz its just a little "dedication" from me. hhaha

Nothing wrong with it really...

It was actually quite nicely drawn. No major mistakes...the tweening was a bit static - try use easing. Also, the text at the top felt a bit weird. Maybe go for voices all the way next time, especially with Master Chief, because you don't have to do lip syncing! umm......keep working at it, cos I reckon you could produce something really nice in the future.

Onic responds:

Thanks for reviewing our flash. I appreciate the tips on how to improve on future flash works. Yes you are right about MC, I should have voiced him the whole way do to the lack of lip syncing. Thanks for the encouragment, I will try to do better in future.
:D

Woohoo!

I found this REALLY funny - especially for a first full Flash. It made me laugh out loud several times, and the music was great too.
Superb stuff! the funniest bit was when Snake dodged the missiles while in the cardboard box.
good work with head movement and artwork!
Heeheehee!

smiffy-uk responds:

I'm glad you like it Dim!

Cool!

I really loved this. It was entertaining from start to finish. It reminded me of Dizzy the Egg, a game I have for my ZX Spectrum......*sigh*

awesome stuff, keep it up!

TheDevilsJoker responds:

Thank you please.

Quite lovely really

Graphics were stunning, I really liked the variety of background styles, all of which were great. I also thought the faces were fantastically drawn, especially since human faces are so hard to do.

I thought the way you leave it to the viewer to find their own meaning, rather than tell them the meaning for you first, was great, as it allows people to really see the movie for what it is.

Dim liked the way you could see construction lines from some of the backgrounds, it looked really stylish.

Overall, a must see movie, recommended to everyone. Great work, and I hope we'll see a lot more of your stuff soon!

AloneInTheDark responds:

Woohoo! A review from 2 of my favorite flash artists. Thanks alot for the review. Drawing has always been my no 1 hobby in life and especially drawing people. Im glad u could noticed the backgrounds too. Alot of artists nowadays seem to ignore the background aspect, while it is crucial since it creates the entire atmosphere of the movie i think (together with music and sound fx). Thanks alot for the review gentlemen and keep up the good work yourselves too! Looking forward to the projects you two are working on!

I really liked it!

GREAT choice of music. That song is excellent....a really good choice of music for a sad Flash.

The art was good too. both backgrounds and figures were drawn well - great stuff!

Madelief responds:

Thank you very much!

Thats.......

thats one gorgeous piece of art.
hmm, did you draw that using lines, or did you take a photo and convert it into lines?
-Dim

Tept responds:

I had an original photo that I drew over in Flash with lines. It's all hand done.

I really love it.

First of all - you chose an AMAZING song.

secondly, the timing was superb. the way you presented the bird catching him was perfect.

other touches like shape tweening the shadow over the stairs all added to the effect.

it was simple, nicely told, and well presented!

I'm honoured to appear in the credits! ^_^ thanks!

Keep it going. I like what i see.

Eques-Ardor responds:

And I'm honoured to get a response from the flash artist that I most respect.
And thank you for the compliments! ^_^!

woooohoo.

This was the most satisfying Flash I have ever seen. The graphic style was perfected. The music was incredible. The story was genius. The characters are lovable and believable. This is our new favourite movie of all time. Thanks.

Dim

gel responds:

Thanks guys! I enjoy your movies/games as well. To be your favorite movie of all time means a lot!

I liked it

I dont know if you remember writing the review for our SSBM, but it was a good one, so heres one back :)

I found this movie to have a real charm to it. Whilst its true its largely text, it almost gives the feel of a comic strip, and the drawings were really cool. there was a suprising amount too, and i kept expecting it to end, but it didnt :)

Why not try some new characters for the next one, of your own design?

Tom

Yoshi-lord responds:

Hey, thanks buddy, I liked your flashes too, ever thought of putting Yoshi in your next Melee flash?

I will have new characters in my next flash, a bit like normal Nintendo characters going super, gaining new abilities and new names, like Yoshi-lord, GreatSaiyaKirby, Pharoachu and possibly others too. :)

Stay tuned, I enjoy recieving E-mails too.
